Many of you are writing wish lists for the holidays and I have the PERFECT idea to add to your list….Black-Eyed Susan books! Books are a wonderful gift to ask for during the holidays. You can get copies of this year’s nominees in stores, from online stores like Amazon, or you can even download copies of the books to your Kindle, Nook, tablet or computer! 
It’s that time of year to think of all of the things you’re thankful for, so here are a few things on my list:

I am so proud of all of the 5th graders who showcased their Glogs this morning in the media center. You have worked so hard and your efforts were obvious to all of our visitors!
This Friday, our 5th graders will be having a heritage feast to share our glogs they have created! They have been researching their heritages and have created a glog (edu.glogster.com) to share information about their family and their country of origin. Want to see what they look like? Check out the example that I made about my own family!
During media class this week, we will be learning about our library blog so we can post comments about the Black-Eyed Susan books we’re reading. Be sure to turn in your blog permission slip if you’d like to leave comments for other students to read. Can’t wait to read your opinions of this year’s B.E.S. nominees!
